America's Most Smartest Model
I normally don't like VH1's train wreck TV. When I first heard about AMERICA'S MOST SMARTEST MODEL I did not know that it was on the cable channel, so I put it on my TiVo. After watching the first episode I am officially hooked! The reason I don't watch Rock of Love or I Love New York is that it wreaks of desperation. There's no prize and none of these contestants could possibly be interested in dating the star of the show. That means they're all just there to get famous for being disgusting, disease-ridden losers. There's nothing wrong with making fun of people like that, I just prefer when they're not in on the joke.
I can't say the "models" on AMSM have noble intentions. The difference is that they're trying to get famous for not being stupid. That probably won't work out too well, since VH1 is dead set on making them look as bad as possible.
The show is flawed. I don't understand why they give them modeling challenges. There is some confusion as to whether these are supposed to be professional models trying to prove they're smart or amateurs trying to break into the modeling world. My conclusion: they're a bunch of attractive people floating through the reality casting system who were available when VH1 decided to film this.
