Moonlight Episode 2
Here are some highlights from Friday's episode of Moonlight:
Everything about this flashback is epic. You hardly ever see vampire chic with an 80's, Miami Vice backdrop. Also happy to see Jason Dohring taking his character up a notch on the camp front.
This week's villain was a real criminal mastermind
Oh, and what's with this?:
Can CBS not afford some decent green screen?
So it looks like I'll be watching this show until it gets cancelled. That should only be a couple more weeks. This shit is ridiculous! Ok, not to take away from the hilarity of the video in the middle there; but let me tell you the amazingly ludicrous plan that villain comes up with (SPOILER ALERT, highlight to view)
He has a grudge on Mick because he put him in jail for 25 years. He is now out because he convinces some woman to write a book about how he was wrongly convicted. He becomes this big hero and is dating the writer. So his plan is to keep hurting himself to make it look like Mick is doing it. He shoots himself (as you can see in the clip) in Mick's apartment with Mick's gun. Because Mick is clearly the dumbest fucking P.I. on the planet and doesn't seem to understand that he probably won't be arrested because the guy broke into his apartment and because the physical evidence will show the guy shot himself, flees the scene. The criminal genius then hatches the following plan: he kidnaps his own girlfriend and he and 3 of his biker buddies hold her hostage at gunpoint. His sole demand is that Mick turn himself into the police within an hour. Ponder that one over for a minute. Clearly my mind is not sophisticated enough to grasp how brilliant this plan is because it sounds pretty fucking stupid to me. Oh, then that blonde chick who still looks just like Elizabeth Rohm shoots the villain in the neck and kills him. Happy endings all around.
I can't wait to see what they come up with for next week.
